Hello Maanii,

I'd recommend you read our Frequently asked questions page, where we have some recommendations on this.

From my point of view, its really important to have enough word stock to avoid repetition.
Most importantly is the variety of sentence structure.

Hi,
What types of essays that l might be asked to write in ielts ?

Hi moky3018,

You can find this information, and much more on the IELTS exam, including practice and preparation materials, mock papers with sample answers and exam tips and advice, on the British Council's TakeIELTS site.

DEAR SIR,

AM PAUL DANIEL FROM INDIA , IS IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO GIVE AN OPINION ON MY IELTS WRITING TASK 2.

WITH REGARDE

Hello Paul,

I'm afraid we don't mark users' work on LearnEnglish. With so many users it is simply not possible for us to offer this service - this is a job for your own teacher.

If you are preparing for IELTS then I suggest taking a look at the British Council's site for IELTS candidates - TakeIELTS. It has preparation materials, advice and sample answers - including sample answers to the writing tasks.

Best wishes,

Peter

Hello! My name is Tahani. I'm 43 years old and Iam an operations manager.
I sat for IELTS last October and have got band 7.5. The problem I faced with writing was time. You do not have enough time to write on scratch paper and then correct it. Make your outline in couple of minutes and just start writing down directly. Good luck!

Hi Tahani. I think time is a problem for all us writers and learners of ESL. But I should say , the more specific and narrower your topic is, the less time you would need..
Please note this is my own view and not this site's.
Good Luck...
