Hi. I have a question about the answers in Task 1. In my opinion, the eight topic as it appears in the solutions (future of the company) is the fourth. At the first question, the presenter asks: "Do you think there’s any future for the Martha Stewart brand?"
Thanks for you attention.
Artur

Hi Artur,

You make a good point and with the instructions that the task had ('Arrange the topics in the order that you hear them') I think you are right.

Since, however, the main point of the task was intended to be that you identify summaries of what is discussed in the interview and then put them in order, I have changed the instructions to better reflect this. In this case, I think the future of the company should still be in the final position, as it is there that the topic is discussed in some detail and not merely mentioned.

Thank you for taking the time to point this out to us!

Hello British Council, I got some difficulties in answering the tasks to arrange the topics or processes in chronological order (not technically). Even I read the transcripts, I didn't get the right order. I am wondering you could help me with some tips how to get the answers in correct sequence. Thanks.

Hello Pearl,

Sometimes my students have not correctly understood the topics, which of course makes it difficult to order them correctly. Could that be what is happening for you? Another thing you could do is try the Task and then, after seeing the correct answers, match the topics to sentences in the transcript. That should help you see how they are related.

Why don't you try that? If you have any questions or problems as you do it, please feel free to ask us again for help.

All the best,

Hello ahmed mohamed salem,

This is a question you can answer yourself, I think, by visiting an online dictionary such as this one.

One of the bottled water brands in my country changed its name and has became viral all over the country, so I think changing the name is useful somehow.

Thank you for the variety of subjects that have been dowloaded here, on this website. it really helps :)

Hi everybody from spain,

Here in Spain I don't know any company wich has changed the name for reasons of bad image , but I know some of them that have changed the name in order to adapt to the new times as Telefónica, Repsol, Iberia and so on. The last year I was working in Iberia airlines and I studied about the evolution of the brand and is very interesting to know the reasons about it, for me the main reasons is to give to the company an image of a flexible company with a good relation between price and quality.

Hi All,
