I really liked this podcast. I think If people respected each other and cared about others the world could be a better place. And doing these is not so difficult!
Best wishes!

I find this podcast very interesting. It made me remind a book called Emotional Intelligence, written by Daniel Goleman, that I read years ago because my dad have asked all of his children to read it, cause it's very useful for life and it still really current. So I will let this reading suggestion here. I'd like to say thank you very much for all the material we can access here, it's incredible and help me a lot in my English studies.

this is very effective and useful source to improve our listening skills, but we need more practice before to appear in practical IELTS test

Hello imrangeo,

If you're preparing for the IELTS, working on pages like this one is good, but I'd also highly recommend you visit our IELTS section and especially TakeIELTS, where you can find information about the exam, advice on how to prepare for it, as well as some free practice materials.

Good luck!

I just want to start practice , but most of the topics dosent open to me

Hello sabre,

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. I'm not sure what you mean by 'topics' here. Is the task on this page working for you? Is the audio working? Are you talking about one page or many pages?

It is possible that technical issues are caused by compatibility issues with your device. If you are using a mobile device, such as a phone or tablet, please try accessing the site with a laptop or desktop computer to see if this solves the problem for you.

I think this is very interesting

Interesting podcast and topic !
Thank you LearnEnglish-BritishCouncil :)

what does" And what about people who invalidate you?" mean ?

Hi sanaa2011,
In this context, to invalidate someone means to intimidate or bully someone by denying or dismissing their feelings.
The expression what about is used to remind someone about a topic or to introduce a topic. So when it says, what about people who invalidate you, it means on the topic of people who invalidate you or regarding people who invalidate you.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team
