Daniel makes some classic mistakes in his interview. Here are a few mistakes to avoid:

What to wear

It can be difficult to choose the right job interview clothes. Most companies will give you information about their dress code, if you phone their reception. Even if they say they have a casual dress policy, it's still a good idea to dress in slightly smarter attire to show you've made the effort. If in doubt, dress slightly smarter than you usually would for work. Daniel, dressed in jeans and an open-neck shirt, is probably too casually dressed when compared with his interviewers.

Lying

Although it's tempting, out-right lying never pays. Daniel gave some inaccurate information in his job application and is found out in the interview. By all means gloss over unflattering or unimpressive details, but telling lies is a definite no-no.

Appearing too confident

If you appear too confident and relaxed in an interview format this may come across badly and you may be seen as being arrogant. Unlike Daniel, it’s better to be modest about your achievements.

Not researching the company

Researching the company shows you're serious about the job and if you can demonstrate this in the interview then this will be looked on favourably. Have a few questions ready for the end of the interview where you can show that you have thought about the job and the company.

Obviously, Daniel looks like an inexperience salesman, yet pretending to be adept at the position he is interviewing for. His performance reveals many weaknesses such as conceited, thoughtless, not tactful at all and many others, with his inability to impress the boss, how can he deal with the challenges he might face in the job? Therefore I don't think he will be a shoo-in. Thank you.

I second your opinion. Daniel's too bold, which can't help looking unfavourable for interviewers.

I have watched all the excellent videos and thought that someone is going to be hired according to the title "You're hired" instead of the fired employee in the first video.
Is it suitable if the title "You're fired" instead of "You're hired", or do you intend to hire a person in a new video? Could you please explain this?

Interviewing man and woman seems like not very experienced, because they are rather confused by not proper answers of the candidate. One can think that it is the first case in their carrier, when an interviewed guy makes such a lot of mistakes :)

It's a cool video, I mean that guy made a lot of mistakes, and the worst part was he thought he was doing fine regardless the CEO expression,  anyway it's a video that provides a lot of information of what people shouldn't do in an interview.
Finally I really likes the advices in task 2, for example the mistakes about the cassual clothes sounds likes something I would do in an interiew, so I guess it was the tip of this day.
 

Marvelous, very funny podcast! You've showed all the behaviour one must avoid attending a job interview. Harder to be more discouraging for an employer looking for a collaborator. Nevertheless Daniel is likeable in is attempt to impress, conceited, no doubt about that, but likeable. At this point of the interview he've well managed to lose his chances to be recruited. All that in no more tan three minutes, good job really!
In a previous episode Marcia B. declared she had two or three good applicants. I'm not sure Marcia B. is the good person at the right place. Such error about a candidate like Daniel is quite amazing. Will the CEO fire Marcia on next episode? I'm impatiently looking forward the episode five!

hi dear friend i am sorry but i think that the CEO cannot fire Marcia because she was just referring on what was written in the CV . And i think Daniel wouldn't be hired because he didn't give real information about his skills on language it seems that he wrote being fluent in Mandarin that is not really the case. To conclude i will say that may be the girl will win. Generally girls are more intelligent than men.. Hope to watch her interview soon Best Wishessssss
