Hello admins, I think the picture of a boat should be a yacht.... Please tell me if there's a difference. :)

Hello Rafaela1,

All yachts are boats, but not all boats are yachts. The word 'boat' is very general and can be used to refer to almost any kind of vehicle people get into that floats on water. A yacht is usually a fairly large and luxurious vessel that is used primarily for luxurious entertainment.

Personally, I wouldn't call the boat in the image on this page a yacht -- it looks a little small and doesn't appear to be luxurious.

Hope this helps.

All the best,

Kirk

Thank you Kirk, I understand. Maybe the difference of what to call boats or yachts stems from a cultural difference. In Cambodia, it's a definitely a yacht, but maybe people in Spain will call it a boat. Interesting... ;)
In my city, we use bus, taxi, car mostly. Just only when we want to go in own quarter, we use like bike, motorcycle and tricycle.
My city is small and its population a few, so it has buses, bikes, motorbikes, cars, taxi and vans. I had a motorbike but know I haven't one.
Train, taxi, car, bus, bike, motorbike, etc.. In short, all kinds of transport or at least all those that I know so far. People here like cycling a lot, so I noticed that the bike is quite usual as a mean of transport in this city.

I don't like to travel by plane although I have done it a lot because you have no choice sometimes. I prefer train for example.
Actually I have most kinds of transport mentioned without ship, because I don't have the sea in neighbourhood. I usually use the most my bike and car.
