Man: (Have you seen a green pen anywhere?)

Woman: I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that.

Man: (I said, 'Have you seen a green pen?')

Woman: Could you say that again?

Man: (Green pen, see it anywhere?)

Woman: I'm sorry ... I still didn't get that.

Man: (I said, 'Have you seen a green pen anywhere?')

Woman: Could you say that again?

Man: (Green pen, see it anywhere?)

Woman: One more time?

Man: (Have you seen a green pen anywhere?)

Woman: No, sorry. Nothing.

Man: (Have you seen a green pen anywhere?)

Woman: Look! I can't hear a word you're saying.

Man: I said, 'Have you seen a green pen?' Oh, there it is!

I can't hear well. The words in the videos are so fast. Do you explain what's matter? Sorry for my question.

Hello alberto,

The people in this video speak at a natural speed for native speakers. It's not unusual for students to find that difficult, which is why we include transcripts of what they say. I'd suggest you try reading the transcript as you listen.

I'd also suggest you try our Speaking and Listening skills sections, where you can find resources at the level that's best for you. I'd also suggest checking out Podcasts and Writing home.

All the best,

Hi alberto bastos,

Yes, it is a bit fast, and what the man says is unclear (which is why the woman needs to ask him to repeat it).

Try using the transcript to see the full text. Also, pause after an unclear part, and go back and listen to that part again until you catch the words. I hope that helps :)

I think the words of the videoes are fast. So, I can't hear it well. I think it will be good for learning English if they speak slowly. It will be easier to catch the words.

Thanks for the helpful lesson!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, could you repeat it, please? Am... actually I couldn't catch your words.

This is another way. Is there any problem.

Yes. I can.

Maybe with non-verbal communication...

It's great ,because these sentences all use like this situation , when somebody say something for more than three time and you don't quite hear him . Please if I have any mistakes in my comment, correct it to me, don't be shy
