What accent was Framhand speaking? It is really strange and diffcult to catch. Is there someone to tell about the interesting accent, please?

Hello Aung Ko Ko,

The farm hand only says a few words so it's hard to be sure but his accent is certainly not British. It sounds like a Central European accent - Poland, Slovakia etc.

There are many Polish people living and working in Britain these days so you can hear this kind of accent quite often.

I've got lost when I was driving in northern forests of Iran, but fortunately, I had a car with a full fuel tank and a practical navigation app on my phone. Afterwards, I could find the route and then I arrived at the destination.

It's horrible getting lost in a dark forest without any equipment or other things. In my opinion, it can be a good and scary experience.

hello teacher. what does "we can get a lift" mean? I can't understand it.

Hello safira,

'a lift' means 'a journey in someone's car'. In other words, they expect that someone driving by will help them by taking them where they want to go.

All the best,

hello teacher.
how can i understand "hello there"?please explain me.

Hello safirasafirasafira,

'Hello there' is simply an alternative to 'Hello'. Both are greetings with the same meaning, though I would say 'Hello there' is quite informal and is a cheery greeeting, while 'Hello' is neutral.

Hello everyone,
I have never get lost in the countryside because I don't have a car but I get lost when I used to be by walk and I was so scary. The point is you can get lost easy if you go to the countryside and there is no Road and then there's no sign that shows you where you are and it's easy to get lost if you don't know that places.
But I think nowadays if have a mobile phone with you you are completely safe, to take a phone with you if you don't want to get lost.
Usually I don't get scared easy but I might be if I get lost at dusk and I don't know that area and if I heard some strange noises that come to the strange animals and if I'll be in the wood or at the countryside and seeing thing moving in front of mine like a part of the wood or like in this episode, them I might be really scared

Hello teacher,
why in task 1 it says " won't start" and not ".... car doesn't start" ( according to which rule?
Thank you

Hello Olha Shev,

We often talk about objects as if they were alive and making decisions. This is especially true of machines and electronic devices and it is normal in English to say The car doesn't want to start or The car refused to start.

Best wishes,
