Don't get over-emotional

It's good to express your emotions but don't lose control!

In an interview situation it’s always good to express yourself and to convey your feelings, however there is a limit.  You don’t want to put yourself in a situation that causes you to become over-emotional and perhaps lose control – this could jeopardise the success of your whole interview.

In order to avoid this, think about the kind of things that you may be asked about in an interview that could cause you to get emotional – a pet that died recently, an exam you failed, an argument you had with a friend. By thinking about them in advance you can mentally prepare yourself to talk about them, or our best advice would be to try to avoid talking on these sensitive subjects altogether and wherever possible answer the question using a different example.

I'm sorry to hear that – that must be frustrating. I'm not sure it's any consolation, but many, many people find it difficult to pass from 6.5 to 7. Have you worked through the advice on TakeIELTS? There are also useful videos on YouTube – search for 'IELTS speaking' and look especially for videos produced by IELTS and/or the British Council, though many of the others are quite useful as well.

yes the speeches without emotional is like a food without salt.
if the emotion become more it sour the speeches, like the salt sour the food.
it has a specific limit must to be in it.

I got a bad fever last time when i took the speaking exam. I just had my pills before I went there, so consequently i sweat out and looked ill during the test which obviously imposed a negative impression on the examiner ( maybe he thought that I was reciting)T.T It was a 5.5, i thought i did a good job though !!! !! Hello. I am going to take IELTS exam in 3 weeks. I did 4 months ago but my score was 5.5. I want to get band 6. I really worry about my speaking skill, as the former time, when waiting for the examiner, I was very anxious and finally, I could not speak well. Can you give me some advice to be confident in next time. Thanks so much!

I am worry so much from speaking And writing because the subject i saw in ILets Exams practice most of them are hard to write about and about speaking when i am in stress i forget all the vocabulary i already know.
