Daniel's interview doesn't go too well. What mistakes does he make?

Do the preparation task first. Then watch the video and do the exercises. You can also read the transcript.

Hi le nhung,

Please take a look at the explanation on our definite article page - "managing people" is a new topic, whereas "the presentation" is a topic that's already been mentioned. If it's still unclear after working through that page, please don't hesitate to ask us again.

Best wishes,

Is it possible to download this video? I'm a teacher and I'd find it very useful in my classes, but unfortunately I don't have the access to the internet in the classroom.

Hello linkamarijuana,

I'm afraid for technical and legal reasons we are not able to make the videos available for download.  You can, of course, access them online as often as you wish and download the transcript and support pack with exercises, however.

Best wishes,

good video , i learned from it.

If I were Daniel,  I wouldn't go to the interview with an untrue CV. And also even he had bad interview, he seems really relax. It is really weird :)
By the way thanks for lesson.

Dear BC and All member,
I am poor in English. After reading and listening to this transcript, I saw the conversation:
Marcia Boardman: Can you tell us about a time you had to close a particularly challenging deal.
Daniel: I haven’t had one. They’re all easy for me. I close deals all the time!
Does anyone help me to explain me what it means for bold and italic letter style?
I will appreciate for your kind.

Hello CChhom,
Thanks for the question!  Actually, I think you can find the answer to this question yourself by using the Cambridge Dictionaries Online tool on the right of the window.  Type 'close a deal' in the search window and click 'Look it up!'  It's a great tool for looking up words and phrases like this one.
Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team
