Hello gschlenker2004,

I'd recommend you download and install the latest version of the Adobe Flash player on your device – this should take care of the MIME type problem, but if not, please let us know. Another option would be to install the LearnEnglish GREAT Videos app.

By the way, there are lesson plans for these videos on TeachingEnglish, e.g. Innovation is Great.

I hope this helps you!

Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team

Yes I do because gadgets and technology helps us in our daily life whether working or leisure time. My most important gadget is cellphone or hand phone because it is handy/convenient, it is very useful in communication locally or abroad. Yes, I’d love to own everything of Dyson’s product because I’m amazed and satisfied.

Dear LearnEnglish Team,
Please help me, I couldn't understand task 4. How to answer 'which' and 'that/which' in the sentences. I've read the meaning in the Cambridge Dictionary, I guess for the answer, still I only got two correct answers -#6 and #10. I feel very ashamed because I cannot understand and I couldn't figure it out.
oh! I'm so sad.

Hello caryle,

No need to feel ashamed! The key is to recognise whether the relative clause in each sentence is a defining relative clause (in which both 'that' and 'which' are possible) or a non-defining relative clause (in which only 'which' is possible).

Best wishes,

Thanks a lot Peter :)

I find all these videos incredible, I work a lot with them, indeed I think I have worked with all of them. Will there be other topics with activities such as these? They are mostly useful and very clear, and the activities are stupendous!! Thanks in advance!

Hello adriteacher,

Thank you for your wonderful comments - it's great to know our site and our work is appreciated! We are always adding new content to the site but it is a long process to ensure that new material is of the requisite quality, of course. At the moment, for example, we are publishing the new series of Word on the Street, a series co-produced with the BBC, but after that we will publish other materials too.

Best wishes and thanks again,

The LearnEnglish Team

firstly, thank you, Richard, for a wonderful video.
To be honest, all my life keeps on gadgets and technology, so, i have not got a choice, i love it.
there are many cases:
the first one is convenient using. For instance, when I need to write cpp code fast, I take my IPad and do some notice or when I fly in an airplane and can not sleep, I take my IPad and play in different games(or watch films).
the second one is easy using. For example, You touch you phone every 10 minuets and it does not get you bad feelings;)

Most important gadget? Are you kidding me?
Of cause it is vacuum cleaner. Do you believe me? Not? Nice, it is joke. Thuth be told, The most important gadget for me is my mobile phone. There is big part of my life, such as necessary contacts. Also, i can not despite fact that at any moment the internet might be used by myself. very helpful.
What about Dyson's product, hmmm, may be i would like to try it, and then decide, want to own or not.

thank you very much again!
good buy!

I couldn't understand what to do in forth section. Who can tell me about it?

Hello Aibek Shegebaev,

In some sentences both 'that' and 'which' are possible; you should write 'that/which' in the gap for these sentences.

In other sentences only 'which' is possible; you should write 'which' in the gap for these sentences.

Best wishes,

The LearnEnglish Team
