Hello Alice,
This is something we're still working on, but as you might know it can be hard for websites to reach China effectively. We wish it was easier, but that's how it is!
Best wishes,

Hola.
The history of English is very interesting but the history of English is very complicated because it has been searched for many centuries and cultures and also banned in centuries  from XV to XX , so many hypothesis about where would it come from... is so rare is like comparing to questions of the last question relating to philosophy and metaphysics and these could go on..
Relating to read the middle English language is very difficult for me. likely for us,English language was taken over other languages that vanished from the preferences of the population and politics.
English has already changed the world. but I think every generation got the opportunity to make a change. 1978 called for a change in that time none thought that could ever been vanished the French language that was spread out around the world but, in this century is different the English language have the opportunity to make a step taking in account that the language will engaged us as a human being.

Hello!  I can't watch this video.I can only listen to it.
Do you know why? What program do I need to install?
Thanks in advance

Hello ilja!

That is an unusal problem! Do you mean you can hear the audio, but you can't see the pictures and video? I've not heard of that problem before, so, to help me, can you answer some questions?

  • Which web browser are you using? (Firefox, Internet Explorer...?)
  • What computer or phone are you using?
  • Have you tried any other videos on LearnEnglish? Try an episode of Word on the Street, for example.
  • Do you still have the same problem if you use a different computer?

Let me know the answers, and we'll see if we can help you!
