sry another qshn :) i wrote loosing money but it was wrong ! why ? what is the different between loosing and losing ? when shall we use them ?

Hello StrangeGr,

To look up words or phrases you can use our Cambridge Dictionaries Online tool on the right of the page. Just type in 'loose' to see a definition, examples and more. Then you can repeat the process with 'lose' and compare the two.

hello it was great and i have a qshn in task 3 i made this sentence-6 if he keeps eating sweets he wont lose weight is it wrong? though i did`t see the dot after sweets and i know that sweet must go to the end of the sentence but what if there is`t any dot?(.)

Hello StrangeGr,

The sentence is fine grammatically but would need correct punctuation.

sorry for interrupting, what does qshn stand for?

Hello tamori,

It's not a normal short form in English but the poster meant 'question' by it.

'Can you SPOKE the present continuous' OR 'Can you SPEAK the present continuous'? Which question is right? In the social media scene 1 'language focus', Rob uses the word SPOKE in the question. Can we use the word SPEAK instead of SPOKE ? Why/why not?

Hi Hubaib Hassan CA,

I've just watched the video and didn't hear Rob say that. Perhaps I've missed it - could you tell us at what time he said it? At 2:50, he asks us to see if we can spot any other continuous forms. spot, as you'll see in our dictionary, means to see or notice something that you're looking for. Is that what you heard?

If that's not what you meant, please let us know.

Best wishes,
Kirk

Hello farhadafzali,

This is something we may consider in the future but it is a lot of extra work to prepare them and we are already certainly not lacking in things to do! We will bear your suggestion in mind for the future, however.

Best wishes,
