Hello khai,

'Too' has a meaning similar to 'in addition' or 'as well'. 'So' is used in many ways but the use similar to 'too' is this:

Bob lives in London. Sue lives in London.

We can say this with 'too' or with 'so':

Bob lives in London. Sue lives in London too.

Bob lives in London. So does Sue.

'So' here lets us avoid repeating the information in the first sentence. It is similar to 'neither' (for negative meaning):

Bob doesn't live in London. Sue doesn't live in London.

We can say this with 'either' or 'neither':

Bob doesn't live in London. Sue doesn't live in London either.

Bob doesn't live in London. Neither does Sue.

Note that 'neither' has a negative meaning and so does not need a negative verb after it.

I hope that helps to clarify it.

Best wishes,

Peter

Hi Peter,
I think it is not clear enough. I mean 'so' and 'too' in these cases: "It is so exciting!" and "It's too loud!". I don't know when and where to use them.
I'm looking forward to your help
Best regards

Hello khai,

In these kinds of sentences, 'so' indicates degree and means something like 'very', and 'too' indicates there is more than the speakers wants or thinks is good. There's a useful BBC page that explains these two adverbs, and another good resource for you is the dictionary. Look at these entries for 'so' and 'too' (follow the links) and you will see definitions and example sentences of both.

All the best,

I don't think the space exploration is waste the money and time because it's important to discover the universe and that help us if the earth expose to any dangerous from the universe actually it's help us in scientific research.

I think the space exploration is a good way for know the origin of life and his evolution.
Other important think is the impact the technology developed to support space exploration and reused on the life the people.

Hi sanaziyoo,

In this context 'put up some stuff' means to put some material on a website.

In my opinion space exploration isn`t a waste of money. It helps to study climate changes, improve navigation, communications and many other useful things.

I don´t think, the space is waste of time and mony, because we live actualy not only on the earth but our Livespace ist realy the Univers. we have to search the univers and look for resources to prortect our planet

well i agree space exploration is a waste of money and time if we compare human needs and want. there are millions who lived without food and shelter, uncountable poor people without being cured from their deadly disease, it pollutes outer space, air pollution etc as well space exploration is useful for explorers and people who are interested to see unique explorations, scientific developments etc..
