Hello everyone ,
It's very good lesson , it was interesting .. Thanks very much for your effort .
Regarding the question , Do you complain when you get bad service ? No I don't usually complain in shops , I just leave the place and don't go again . Maybe in restaurants I would write that the service was not good in the complaining paper ..

Thanks again & Best Regards

Hello again teacher,
The hairdresser says: "I can cut some bits of it shorter so it isn't all the same. We call them layers. Maybe just a few … here….. and here…". Do the two "it" refer to Carolina's hair? I think so, but I'm not totally sure.
Best regards
Sonia

Hello Sonia,

Yes, that is correct.

Hi everyone,
I'm going to talk about the question "Do you complain when you get bad service?", ok then, usually I don't complain when I get bad service in a restaurant or a shop. I don't like shouting or getting angry in a public spaces, I don't like arguing with someone who I don't meet because that would make me feel uneasy and probably I would regret it one second later that's why I prefer to keep quiet and not to go back to that restaurant or shop anymore.
Best regards
Sonia

Hi,

I have a question about Section 5 - Carolina - Exercise 2.

Why "I havent't" is a correct answer to the question "Have you been here before ?" and "I wasn't" is wrong, please ?

Why "have" and not "was" ?

Regards

Luigi

Hi Luigi,

In short answers we use the same auxiliary verb as in the question. Thus, if the question uses 'have' as the auxiliary verb then we use 'have' in the short answer. If the question uses 'be' then we use 'be'. For example:

Were you driving the car?

Yes I was. / No I wasn't.

Best wishes,

Peter
