Paris Scene 2

Ashlie and Stephen do some shopping in Paris - and improve their French!

Task 1

Task 2

Task 3

We can use expressions with '-ing' to explain how we do things. For example, the picture seller says:

  • I always pick up new words talking to tourists.

The expression 'talking to tourists' explains how she learns new words.

Language level

Intermediate: B1
Upper intermediate: B2

Dear Team,
could you correct, please, the Task 2,( line 4 and 7) so it be possible to accept either''a hundred and fifty'' in the fourth line, and ''a bit expensive.'', in the seventh one, according to the text above.
Thanks in advance,

I have difficulty in task 2 and 3. I need better more.

The most important thing when you study other language is do not be lazy and try to think every time in this language.

Hi Kirk,

got it!

tks a lot for your kind support and congratulation for your very good job in helping us to learn or improve our English.

in the scene 2 the expression " I'm almost done" is used.
Is it correct to use the form " I've almost done?

I think you must practice everyday, enjoy practicing, travel overseas if you can or meet people from foreign countries. And most of all, be patient. I've been learning English for 4 years and I'm not a good English speaker yet.

you're right. you're from France. So, you have a lot of chances to practice English, easy to travel overseas. I have started learning English when i'm at secondary school. Now, i'm in pre-intermediate. I would like to have many friends in the world to improve English, cultures...Nice day, mate, Best regards.

English is very useful languaje and dificult to learn, overall the pronunciation. One word could mean diferent thing if we do not use the correct phonetic. In opossite, Spanish is simple to pronounce but the grammar is complicate.

You must write down the words and speak with a native speaker if you can
No, I haven't heard

I think the most important thing when learning a language is practicing and talk wih someone who knows that language.
I didn't know what is Paris's Left Bank before watching this video.
