We, as tourists, have kind of lost the plot, I think.

Mass tourism has led to destruction.

The world has become an oyster for the masses.

We have a fundamental problem with tourism.

The most acclaimed destinations have the highest levels of poverty.

Only 14 per cent of every dollar that's spent in the country stays in the country.

Cruise ship comes in like always and nothing for the locals.

We're such unconscious consumers.

About two billion dollars a year are spent through volunteerism.

Guys, I found the kindergarten. She's gonna let me come see the babies.

There's been a 75 per cent increase in orphanages. They were there because I wanted to be there.

If tourists didn't pay money to see these 'entertainments', then the entertainments would change.

More than 500,000 animals are suffering around the world for different types of tourist attractions.

People need to know that they're harming the very animals they care about.

It's completely shocking.

The idea we've had of a tourist has to end.

Tourism has an opportunity to change now.

We have to change our mindset about travel.

Whether I'm going to be part of the solution or not.

I believe tourism has an important role in human development. The world offers us a diversity that we need to see. However, the way we travel nowadays puts pressure on and damages our planet. Awareness of what it means to be human is probably the right response to this problem. From my point of view, traveling around the world and connecting with people from other countries, cultures, and different beliefs is an essential part of our lives. Our mental health benefits, our thoughts become more compassionate and responsive, and our minds transform. We all know this. But when we travel, we can’t act as if the Earth were ours. It is urgent that we learn to respect nature, local people, and social rules, even when these rules are strange to us. It is essential that we travel with empathy. On this topic, I would like to share that I am creating a travel training program to help people become more aware when visiting a place and to give them strategies to communicate with more empathy and respect.

The video reveals a heartbreaking reality: the tourism industry is driven solely by profit for powerful executives, with little regard for those who suffer the consequences. Our planet, its animals, and the environment are being increasingly harmed. Who is taking responsibility?

We must spread the truth and raise awareness about what’s happening. It’s time to act. Don’t spend money visiting large aquariums where animals are kept in captivity. Avoid participating in these kinds of exploitative activities.

Respect the places you visit. Learn about the local environment and the impact of your actions. Together, we can create a better world.

Yes, I think we need to change the way we travel. Tourism often damages nature, harms animals, and doesn’t help local people enough. Many tourists spend money in big hotels or cruise companies, so little goes to the local economy. We should choose local businesses, respect local culture, and avoid attractions that hurt people or animals. Travelling should be about learning, helping, and protecting the places we visit.

Yes, we need to change the way we travel. Many types of transport like cars and planes, cause pollution. This hurts the planet very badly and makes climate change even worse that it is right now . We can help the planet by using buses, trains, bicycles, or walking more often by feet. Electric cars and cleaner fuels are also good choices for people who want to help the planet and everyone should want that. If we all make small changes, we can protect the Earth for the future generations.

Yes, we must change the way we travel. We need to care about the condition of our environment. How we travel may be harmful to the animal, and it might negatively impact the local people. By watching this video, I realize how much we need to be critical and build awareness of our surroundings, because if we never care about it, then who?

To my mind, the laws governing the process of mass tourism have to be reviewed since the serious impact on the wildlife and the life of local people. The point at issue is what is the best for the environment.

In my opinion, all these problems trace back to governments, who are responsible for addressing these issues. They should have plans in place to ensure that tourism does not negatively impact the environment and animals
