Sòrry to hear that the event is cancelled. I have a question on pronunciation. It is about the pronunciation of the word combination "five hundred" in rapid speeçh. On many videos and podcasts of the BBC and other educated professionals, the 'h' sound is dropped and the two words are mashed together when spoken fluently. It sounds like "fivundred" Can you explain this with any possible rules. Thank you

This is an example of elision, which is when sounds are omitted in speech in order to make the sentence easier to say. It's a very common feature of spoken English. Well done for noticing it!
