An email request for help
Do the preparation task first. Then read the text and do the exercises.
Preparation
Dear James,
As you know, we have been working on the new perfume that we are launching in April and we are unsure about some of the packaging details. We have seen some of your creative work in the sales department and we think you have a very good eye for detail.
Do you have some time before close of business this Friday to sit down with us and talk through some of our designs? We would truly appreciate your advice on this. It shouldn't take longer than two hours of your time and we would be happy to clear it with Patricia, your department head, if necessary.
Product Design
In a email to Ask help we have to put two thinks:
Firstly, we have to greet and explain the problem. We must expect from the person you are asking the problem to.
Secondly, WE ask the availability of the person who Can help us and fixe the meeting date ans Time.
I think an email asking for help should include a specific date, because you never know when the message will be read. Someone might be on vacation or busy and unable to read it immediately after receiving it. So, instead of writing “this Friday,” the author of the email should also include the exact date.
Additionally, at the beginning, it is worth introducing yourself and briefly explaining why you need help.
First of all, in my opinion, the most important thing when asking for help in a work context is to be polite. However, in my work experience, I have realized there is a lack of politeness. It might seem strange because being polite is so obvious that it sounds a little bit ridiculous, but it is what I see on a daily basis.
In an email requesting help, I try to write directly and clearly. I include all important details, such as dates, times, and names. I also use short sentences, because I don’t have time to read long emails, especially at work.
Thank you a lot for question. Firstly, if I write an email to someone asking for help, I will start with introducing myself and I explain my situation that why I need help with it. Everyone knows that, It depends on who will receive the email, that it will be formal or informal. Thank you a lot for your attention. Honestly, I usually make quite a lot mistakes. 😅
I would like to use humble words on that situation because we want help from them.
Thank you, useful topic and vocabularies.
in this situation, firstly i introduce my self than i explean what i want after that i request to take an appointment to see facr to face. it must be write by formal form. thank you
firstly, I introduce myself if my work department is from person can help
then I explain my problem and describe why i look forward the help. Finally, I will schedule an appointment and thank the other person deeply.
