Vanya: Yes!

Noelia: Hello! It's so good to finally meet you in person!

Noelia: Good! We have a lovely team here. Now, has Emir set you up with an email address?

Vanya: He has. I'm all ready to go!

Noelia: Perfect! Is there anything else you need?

Vanya: Not right now, thanks.

Noelia: Well, let me know if I can help at all.

Vanya: I will, thank you.

Noelia: Actually, I've got an idea. What are you doing later?

Vanya: I haven't got any plans.

What would you show someone who was new to your local area?

I will introduce them to my culture and to my friends and family. I know that maybe latinos are so emotionals and noisy, but we are happy and very humble people that will feel proud to show you the different places and touristic sites of our country, just for you to feel sure about our country.

I was born and grew up in Hai Ninh, Vietnam, which is a seaside village. It’s always a pleasure to meet someone new who visits my hometown. I would love to show them the beauty of our sea, the life of fishermen, and the friendliness of the local people. Especially, I would treat them to seafood such as fish, shrimp, and squid. This is our signature food, and it always tastes delicious, fresh, and nutritious. Both I and the local people warmly welcome everyone who comes here.

I truly invite everyone to visit my hometown!

Thank you to the British Council for creating the useful webpage!

I live in Diss, South Norfolk, in the UK. Our town is very nice and quiet.

When a friend or family member comes to my town for the first time, I try to show them the most interesting places.

We have some very interesting places in Diss. First, I show them the Mere and the park.

The Mere is a small lake in the centre of the town, and the park next to it is very beautiful.

In the heart of the town, there is a historical area called the Diss Heritage Triangle.

This place is a triangle between three main and old streets.

After that, I show them the Corn Hall. It is a 19th-century building used for concerts, theatre, and other events.

At the end, I suggest they visit St Mary's Church and the Diss Museum.

When I meet a person I usually take into account the reason why I am meeting him/her. In Argentina, especially in rural areas or tiny towns, we use to invite people to come along to our homes and share a coffee, a tea or even some "mates". If I meet a person for business reasons, then I usually introduce that person to  my staff in the warehouse I run. I believe that is the best way to make the new acquaintance feel at ease and, therefore, get to know her or him well.

I'd love to share the best things about my Ho Chi Minh City. The first time you come to Ho Chi Minh City, you have to experience the feeling of being involved in the traffic, especially sitting behind the driver on their motorbike. Then I will show you the variety of coffee tastes. The last one, remember me, you have to enjoy any kind of street food in Ho Chi Minh City, don't miss out on: mixed rice paper, noodle, bread...

I would show them my favorite places in the neighborhood. First, I would take them to a nice coffee shop where we could sit and talk. Then, I wouldn't show them the local park which is quiet and perfect for a walk. Finally, I would show them where to shop and how to get around using public transport.
