My house is near the square of the town. When I left my home at night to meet a friend, I took a road in front of me and turned at the next corner. I reached the first crossroads and I had to wait the pedestrian crossing the road and the traffic lights turned to green before leaving. All the road was brighted by street lights. There aren't traffic as the rush hour.
Near my home I can see only a road, street lights and a square in the middle village, but when I go to the town I can see the pavements, roundabouts, trafficlights, bus stop and signposts
When I left my house,I walked on the pavement in the side of the roads, then there are street lights in the side of the roads and I usually crossed in crossing to get my University!
Near my home, there are many facilities and public places. For example, there is a basketball court, a supermarket, a hospital, several pharmacies, and a gym. There are also a number of schools, a police station, and a gas station. In addition, you can find banks, restaurants, clothes shops, a church, and a mosque.
Overall, my neighborhood is well-equipped and provides easy access to essential services and recreational facilities.
Where I live, I am close to the main road. When I go to work, after I leave my house, I wait at the traffic lights until they turn green for pedestrians, then I cross the road at the crossing. After that, I wait for the bus stop.
When I return home, sometimes I am late, and there is no bus available. In that case, I look for a signpost showing the taxi stop, and I usually wait on the pavement for a taxi.
In my town, there are no traffic lights or crossings, we just have pavement and streetlights

Do we use 'crossroads' as a plural only? What if we need to talk about several crossroads?
