Near my home I can see only a road, street lights and a square in the middle village, but when I go to the town I can see the pavements, roundabouts, trafficlights, bus stop and signposts

Near my home, there are many facilities and public places. For example, there is a basketball court, a supermarket, a hospital, several pharmacies, and a gym. There are also a number of schools, a police station, and a gas station. In addition, you can find banks, restaurants, clothes shops, a church, and a mosque.

Overall, my neighborhood is well-equipped and provides easy access to essential services and recreational facilities.

  • Every weekend, the local government holds a food festival at the town square.
  • A signpost at the street corner is very helpful because it help us not to get lost.
  • My city is not very friendly to pedestrians because the pavements are in bad condition

Where I live, I am close to the main road. When I go to work, after I leave my house, I wait at the traffic lights until they turn green for pedestrians, then I cross the road at the crossing. After that, I wait for the bus stop.

When I return home, sometimes I am late, and there is no bus available. In that case, I look for a signpost showing the taxi stop, and I usually wait on the pavement for a taxi.

Do we use 'crossroads' as a plural only? What if we need to talk about several crossroads?

Hello Safe_Mode,

Crossroads can be used as a singular or plural form:

This crossroads is really badly designed and causes a lot of traffic congestion.

There are three crossroads on the route. Turn left at the last one.

The crossroads with traffic lights and crossings are located right near my home. There're pavements and street lights along the road and a bit further there is a bus stop.

Me and my friends are often spent out leisure time in our people square. Every Friday night, there are a lot of light festivals in square area and many people are enjoying this.
