I usually cook my own meals, but on most days my dad does it. When I cook, I rinse the rice in the sink, add water and put it in the rice cooker. Then, I take the frozen meat out of the fridge and wait a few minutes until it thaws. I use the frying pan more than anything else to fry meat, vegetables and eggs, as it is convenient. I don’t have a dishwasher, so I wash the dishes with a sponge and detergent. After that, I take out the rubbish and put it in the bin. I used to have a microwave and a toaster when I was living with my family. My sister used to bake pizza, shawarma, and different types of bread for breakfast.
Most of all, I use microwave and frying pan and, of course, I use fridge everytime I go to the kitchen. I often use electric stove and coffee machine which are not in this list.
What things do you use the most in your kitchen?
What are some things in your kitchen not in this list?
I use my electric oven a lot -it works like a conventional oven but it's smaller and therefore more practical. I bake loaf cakes, cookies, pasta, etc in it. Of course, the fridge, sink and stove are used every day.
I don't have a toaster and here in Mexico it isn't common to have a dishwasher.
Some things that I have that aren't in this list are: waffle maker and a mixer. Both are very useful.
In this list I have all in my kitchen for example: Microwave, fridge, sponge etc, but I see in other countries has dishwasher machine and don't have one is not usually in my country have one because we have some like a sinkbase or something like that. I ilke this list
First of all, large electrical appliances are important, such as a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric stove, oven, blender, mixer, electric knife, vegetable cutter, juicer.
Then a workbench. I need oven trays of all sizes, grills and pyrex.
Pots, frying pans, colanders, spoons, spatulas, plastic and metal bowls and a rolling pin to roll out dough.
In the kitchen, I use a saucepan and a frying pan for cooking. I take meat and chicken from the freezer. I store vegetables in the fridge. I throw leftover food or vegetables in the bin. I don't use the dishwasher; I wash the dishes by hand. I enjoy the smell of food in the oven. Sometimes, I toast my bread or prepare my dinner using the toaster.
In task 4 question 5, the answer "microwave" is not accepted and the answer "microwave oven" is given, which is correct but only "microwave" is used throughout the rest of the exercise, thus it is requested that the answer be changed to "microwave" only.
Hello M.Anas.Ali,
Thank you for pointing this out. As you say, both 'microwave' and 'microwave oven' are possible here and we should be consistent. We have changed the exercise so that both answers are accepted.

I use a saucepan the most in my kitchen because I often eat boiled food for a good health
Honestly, I don’t like cooking. But I have to. My husband is at work all day, and I have a little daughter. She has selective eating habits, so it is sometimes very difficult to please her.
Most of all I cook soups, so I use a saucepans. And my husband likes frying eggs and meat, so I use a frying pan. But our family tries to have good eating habits, so I often bake food in the oven, it is not as fat as if I’d fry it. We also eat a lot of vegetables and green, we usually make salads. I have various cutting boards and sharp knives.
In the evenings I usualy make smoothies in a blender.
