I guess both have their own benefits, while living alone allows you to be more independent and preserves your privacy, on the other hand, it can be very lonely depending on your life style and connections. Moreover, sharing a house can benefit you by spliting bills and household chores, but it can also be quite limiting if you consider that you might no be able to have pets or people over for a long period of time. Nowadays I am still living with my family, and it sure makes my life easier as we share responsabilities, but I think about having my own place soon, too.

I prefer living alone in a rented room for my privacy, but I prefer living in a shared house to build a social network and community.

I prefer to live alone because I like having my own space and privacy. I can do things when I want and I feel comfortable. However, sharing a house can be good because you can save money and meet new people.

Do you prefer to share a house or live alone?

I lived with two colleagues for over a year; we became great friends and even now, after all these years, we have remained in touch.

I can sit at home without friends if I have something to use my mind for.
