Hi Mutsumi,

I'm writing this email to say thank you for everything you have done to help me during the time I was working at the restaurant.

I really appreciated when you tried to find a rent room for me, talked to me when I had problems with some of the guys in the kitchen, and always ready to hang out with me on your days off. Thanks to you, I felt less lonely in this city.

Although we may not see each other as often as we used to, please stay in tough. I might come back to Auckland soon.

See you soon!

I think that it is always a great opportunity to be hosted by a family in another country, because they know the area well and can help show everything it has to offer.

Would you like to stay with a host family in a new country?

I have tried staying with a host family in a new country twice. One experience was very good, while the other was quite bad. Both of them were in Sri Lanka, so I don't think it depends on the country as much as it depends on the family you stay with.

Overall, it was a good experience. Staying with a host family gives you the chance to learn about the local culture, practice the language, and experience daily life in a way that is difficult to do when staying in a hotel.
