My last holiday

My last holiday was a five-day trip to Prague in the Czech Republic. I know Prague well because I lived there when I was at university, more than ten years ago.

Instead of staying in a hotel, I stayed with one of my old friends. It was so much fun, and a little bit like my old life. I wanted to do all the same things I did in my university days, so I visited the university. It has changed a lot and looks more modern. I also went to the supermarket near my old house. I loved seeing all the different foods. I was really happy to find my favourite cheese and chocolate biscuits but they were a bit more expensive than I remember!

We did some touristy things too. We walked up beautiful Petrin Hill and around the castle. The views of the city are amazing up there. We walked across the historic Charles Bridge. My friend's flat is very near the TV Tower so we saw the famous baby statues climbing up it. Those things haven't changed, of course.

Tips

1. Try to make your writing interesting for the reader. To do this, you can make it personal with your own memories and experiences.

2. Use adjectives to add detail to your descriptions.

3. Write clear and simple sentences and organise your ideas in short paragraphs. Give each paragraph a different topic.

4. Use so, but, and, because and other linking words.

My last big trip was in 2024 when I went to Paris. It was a nice trip because Paris is in Europe and I travelled with my family. We visited Musée du Louvre and this museum had Monalisa! She was so beautiful. I can't forget of the Eiffel Tower, it was so BIG. And then we visited Germany, it was so big and a beatiful city too. I want to visit again!

My last trip was in Heber, Utah last 3 months ago. I went with parents and two of my siblings. This year we all took plane because all of us have jobs except my brother, so we need to be at work after one and half weeks. We stayed at our grandparent's house every years during summer break but not this time. We stay at a fancy hotel that has a bunch of activies we can do together. The hotel has a big pool with fun slide you can do. The complimentary food they have is not bad, it is decent to eat probably I am just very picky eater. After breakfast we play mind game that each person will take turn to guess the closest number to the other was thinking the person have guess to closest number will win the game. I am sorry for my bad explanations to this game. When we finish played the game we would go to store to get pick out snacks for movie night.

My last holidays, were in Cartagena, Colombia.
I was 23 years old and this was my first experience flying on an airplane. I was so excited this day.

When I arrived in Cartagena, the weather was so hot, a very nice and sunny day. I took the taxi to the hotel and I recived the room.

I wanted to know the sea, the beach, but first my family and me, needs to rest a little bit.

Finally, we went to the beach and I was able to see the sea. The waves had a particular sound to relax me.

I have a very beautiful memories from this trip.

At the moment, I would like to go back Cartagena, but I must wait.

There’s something really special about going back to a place that once felt like home.
Revisiting old memories, meeting friends, and seeing how things have changed while some feelings stay the same makes the trip even more meaningful.

On my last vacation, I went to Guadalajara with my whole family. We walked around almost the entire city and ate different foods than what we were already familiar with. I barely remember much since it was a long time ago.

I can't remember where I went on my last holiday because I hardly ever go on one. It was such a long time ago that I don't remember it very well

My Last Holiday in My Mother's Town

Last holiday, I visited the town where my mother was born. It is a small and beautiful place. I went with my family, and we stayed for one week.

There were many parties and concerts in the town. People danced, sang, and laughed. The music was loud and fun. I saw the queens of the festival dancing joropo. Their dresses were colorful and they moved very fast. It was amazing!

I liked the food too. We ate arepas, empanadas, and sweet desserts. The people were friendly and happy.

I enjoyed this holiday because I learned more about my mother's town and culture. I want to go back again!
