thank you, you are a innovators in english learning

its absolutely stunning ... specially the lake and the lake side scenario are superb..!!!

I believe that there is a tiny mistake in the transcription: "Jacqui: Richard, we carry on average 1.35 million people on our boats". I think Jacqui says passengers instead of people.
Anyway, I consider this is a good way (and cheap too) to improve my English. Thank you very much indeed

Hello Carlos!
Good spot - you're absolutely right! I've changed it on the webpage, and we will correct it in the download section. Thanks for pointing that out, and we're glad you like the website!
Enjoy the rest of the website!

I can't see this video.

Hello ziya!

Sorry to hear you're having problems watching the video! So I can help you, could you answer these questions?

  • Which web browser are you using? (Firefox, Internet Explorer...?)
  • What computer or phone are you using?
  • What do you see where the videos should appear? Nothing, or is there a message?
  • Can you see videos on other pages on LearnEnglish - like Richard talking about sport?
  • Do you still have the same problem if you use a different computer?

Also, we know some users do have issues, and we are working on alternatives. Please go to our new episodes of Word on the Street – for example, Shakespeare - and try the link that says “Can't see video? Click here!”. Let me know if you can see that video OK.
Let's see if we can sort out your issue!

this area is one of the most beautiful places in Great Britain

hi everybody I'm new to this page, I'm Alfonso from Mexico and I just want to say this is the best web page ever! lovely video by the way!
I loved Lake District and pristine water as well.
I'd rather prefer living in both city and countryside. In the city you've like a world, all is globalised hehe; perhaps we have some better chances in the city than in countryside, regarding to labor part and of course there's more leisure. In the countryside you have fresh air, many lakes and rivers (in some cases), a lot of wildlife, forests and in some cases cosy cottages, that's why I love both of them.
best regards from Mexico to everyone!
