Hello zeyad147,

Have you seen TakeIELTS? There's useful information as well as some free practice materials there.

British landscapes seem to be wonderful. It takes me fancy to come and visit Great Britain.

Hi British Council Team,

I really really enjoyed the Great Video series but the trouble is that I can't download any of it. Is there any way that I can download the video?

Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Gardenia Zeng,

I'm afraid that the videos on LearnEnglish cannot be downloaded for both technical and legal reasons. You can, however, watch them as many times as you like on LearnEnglish entirely free of charge.

Hi! Where can I find the worksheet?

Hi annalmondo,

You can find a link to the worksheet just below the activity window. Look for a link headed:

Hello Teachers,
Excuse me, I think that there is one Number mistaken in the transcipt. On 1:57 in the video, I have tried to listen many times and look at the mouth of the woman, I think that the Number is 1.25 million, not 1.35 million.
Thank you so much.

Hello JellyNguyen,

It's great that you investigated this so carefully, however I'm afraid that she does indeed say '1.35 million'. The initial consonants 'thr' are indeed a bit difficult to hear, but the vowel sound is clearly /iː/ ('ee') and so the number must be 'three'; the vowel sound in 'two' is /u:/.

Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team

Hello teachers,
First of all, if I heard well there is one word missed out in transcript but it has been placed in the video. "... we carry on average 1.35 million passengers A YEAR on our boats." That is found on 1:59 in the video.

Second, when Ms Jacqui says "...Windermere Lake Cruises is one of the top tourist attractions in the north-west of England so when you come to this area, come and cruise on the lake, definitely - it must be done!" What does she mean with the phrase "It must be done" If I realised from context, she meant that it means something like "that is it" or "that is something you always wanted" or "that is perfect" or something like that. If I am completely wrong could you please explain me a bit about it?

The last one question is about phrase "I am WILD about Windermere, but what about Wales?" Please, what is the meaning of the word wild here? When I checked in the dictionary I couldn't find appropriate meaning, moreover I don't know is it an adjective or a noun in this sentence.

Thank you in advance
