Those opinion which the five people say about foot ball is so logical and it increase my speaking patterns.
I agree with the idea that man's game is more exciting because of their high and dynamic movements, and soccer is recognized as Man's sport in various regions in world.
But I was not convinced on one point.
Valley ball is popular sport in the world, and is played mostly by more women than men.
The point is that man's movement is more dynamic, but more spectator watch woman's games than man's.
Therefore, I think that the latter idea is more convincing and realistic view-point.

I'm from Brazil. Traditionally, football is a sport played by men. However, more and more women are playing, nowadays. We have a great footballer that is a woman. Her name is Marta. She was named several times FIFA World Player of the Year. I like to watch women football match. And I think the quality is the same for woman and men.

Hello, I want to know the name of the song in part for South Africa. Please, send me more information. Thank you in advance. Regards, Atanas

Hi everybody! Excuse me but I don't understand why did this sentence is incorrect:
"Could you tell where is King’s Cross station please?"
Can anybody help me?

Hi FGVeiga,

This is an example of an indirect question. The direct question would be 'Where is King's Cross station?' Indirect questions are generally more polite than direct questions but they do not have the normal question form (inversion or an auxiliary verb), as you can see from your example.

You can find more information about indirect questions here.

I think Sabra`s Question is Very good and also i want to know that too. So,I must buy a small notebook and Keeping many section in my notebook .Thank you a lot Peter because you leading me the way to success.

It's difficult
To learn English
Please help me?

Hello Sabra,

It can be difficult, of course, but it can also be fun and rewarding. When you have a long journey ahead of you it's often a good idea to look ahead short distances and complete these rather than looking at how far away your final destination is. The same way, when learning a language it's often a good idea to set yourself small goals which you can achieve rather than worrying about how far you are from perfection. Even though a learner is making progress, they may not see that progress because it is a series of small steps but it's important not to lose motivation.

Do you keep a study book? This is a small book in which you list the things you learn. One section can be for vocabulary, and you can organise it by topic so you have pages for 'work', 'leisure/free time', 'food', 'technology' etc. Another section can be for grammar, where you can list the structures which you study, with a short rule and example for each. This will help you to remember what you learn and to see what progress you are making, and it will also help you to review things you have done so you will remember them better.

Finally, remember that we can help you if you have any problems with the material on LearnEnglish, but for us to help you fully we need to get specific questions, because then we can give precise answers.

I hope that helps you a little. Keep going and good luck - you will make progress!

Best wishes,

Peter

i want to know the one sentence (i tired of fighting darling, let`s make ____) in this case the answer is off or up or about or to and explain please.

Hi phyokyaw1993,

The answer here is 'up'. This is because 'make up', which I suggest you look up in our dictionary (see the search box on the right), is a phrasal verb. Phrasal verbs are explained on our two- and three-part verbs page.
