I prefer book. There are many film basic on the book when i watching it i didn't felling as interesting as when i read it. But sometimes i prefer film. It depents film

I prefer the film becouse you get to see other people's imagination. In a book you have to imagine it and it takes days to finish. But if I could choose between anything in the world, then I will choose the videogames.

I would say that I probably like to read more than to watch. But again it depends on some factors. I think that the book is obviously better when it’s well-written. The film can be definitely more impressive. But in my opinion, you won’t ever become a part of a story as much as when you immerse in a really good book. I’m reading “1984” by George Orwell now. It’s a really haunting one.

Unfortunately, I’m not a passionate festivalgoer and haven’t attended many of them. But I heard about a festival that could be interesting for tourists from abroad. It’s the festival of national Ukrainian cuisine which takes place every year in the city of Lutsk. It started as a festival in honour of a particular type of food called “varenyk” and afterwards became more diverse. Varenyks are some sort of stuffed dumplings and the stuffing you can put in them before boiling varies greatly. The most common are mashed potatoes, sauerkraut or cottage cheese. The stuffing can be sweet too. It tastes really good with sour cream.

I would like to meet Enya, well her real name is Eithne Ní Bhraonáin but she adopted this name when she started compose and sing. The sound she makes is fantastic because it comes from the soul and i never listen nothing like that. She is a irish singer and she lives in a castle with her cats and employees, alone, distant of the "modern civilization" because, like her think about the music industry, it defiles the real meaning of making music.

I would like to meet Sully Erna. He’s American. He’s a vocalist and songwriter of a metal group called Godsmack. He’s alive and actually has released a new solo album separately from his main band a few weeks ago. It’s called “Hometown Life” and, in my opinion, it is rather an alternative-country-metal album than a metal one. Actually, I don’t know much about his personal life. But I really like his music and partly because it helps me through tough times. I’ve always liked unique musicians and singers whose music resonates with my feelings and thoughts at a particular time of my life. Godsmack’s and Sully’s albums are the ones I prefer among the respective music styles. Sully’s voice and energy are amazing. He plays the guitar, the drums and a few other musical instruments too. If I happened to have a chance to meet him I would like to sit and talk to him about life, in general. I mean his attitude and things he values the most. I would ask him whether he wants to change a lot in his past or just leave most things untouched. I wonder if he has other passions apart from the music. I would like to know what songs of other musicians he prefers and what the heaviest one of them is.

Hello The LearnEnglish Team!
I guess there should be a comma before 'don't you' at the very end of the dialogue in the following sentence 'You get on well with her don’t you? ' (Support pack; Section 1 - Exercise 1)
Best regards,

Hello Dima,

Yes, that's correct. Thanks again for alerting us to this!
