I'm going to tell about city where I live. It's Saratov. Saratov is situated in the east-south of Russian capital city Moscow. The population of Saratov about eight hundred thousands people. Saratov has a history connected with second world war's time and also city had his own famous persons. I don't know about anything of it, but it's easy to guess observing different places which has monuments from war such as tanks or another machines which had used in wars time. Except monuments city has a park on the high hill. Park is named "Park of Victory". There are loads of stuff from second world war's time in the park. Vehicles, tanks, guns, airplanes, machines, trenches. Also park has a little area which has more or less ten houses. Every house is decoration which shows lifestyle and furniture of one nationality. I will try to explain. You enter into the area and you see houses. First house belongs to Russian culture, second house belongs to Armencian culture, third belongs to georgian culture etc. You can go into any house and observe furniture and lifestyle of the certain culture. That's enough about park and war's time. It's explain why Saratov has his peculiar history, but what about its own persons? I don't know how many famous people Saratov have had, but lots of street in the city is named after somebody. For example Chernyshevskogo Street or Chapaeva street. So, Saratov has a history and has its own famous persons. I almost forgot to mention about the most famous person who had lived and studied in Saratov for some time. It is Yuri Gagarin, the first man in the space. I don't know from where he started his space-flight, but he landed in the suburb of Saratov. That's all from me. Thank you. I hope my comment is quite understandable.

I think the biggest problem which faces humanity is that, there is lots of poor countries where the people live and don't find the essential things for the life, like clean water, electricity, food, hospitals, schools, and may be lots of other things which i cannot remember now, they should be saved, they should have a better life to live.
Thank you

In my opinion, the most important problem is about the environment, climate change. Human has to face to it and find some ways to solve the problem. Climate change causes acid rain which destroys all kinds of tree and it also increases the temperature. We should do something to prevent this as soon as possible.

Hi everybody,
I am from Nepal. it lies between China and India. It is like a potato lying in the middle of two big rocks. The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. It is about 275 km. from my birth place. I was born in Butwal. It is one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal that is surrounded by hills from three sides- North, East and West. About 30 km. south there is India. The river Tinau flows north to south in the city. Most of the people like to stay here because the environment is quite good for human settlement as well as for any kind of business. Many people from different places especially from hilly areas come here to sell vegetables, animals, handmade things as well to buy different things. It has become the business center for the people from different places.
There isn't a long history about Butwal. About two hundred years ago it was a dense forest. Later on people from different places came and began to settle down. Now in present day, it is one of the most beautiful and well-known cities of Nepal.

Dear teachers I had written about my birthplace. If it is possible, please point where I made grammatical mistake so that I can learn many more.
thanks and regrets
Arpan Shrestha

Hi everyone. I'm from Baghdad it's the capital city of Iraq. It's abeautiful city and all people there speak Arabic the biggest proplem in it is the crowded in the traffic it's very difficult when you go to work in the morning. My city have many universities.

Hey everybody,
I'm from The Netherlands and have lived in Amsterdam for more than 10 years. I love this city! We have, as everybody probably knows, a lot of restaurants and cafe's, a big nightlife and loads of museums.
The best best fun is to bike through the city along the canals and pass the little bridges that cross the canals. Most tourists are not used to this bicycle culture. Some of them already make troubles while stepping out of the tourist bus right on the bicycle-path which they probably recognize as a footpath. So there they stand looking around watching the beautiful buildings until they almost got hit by a yelling cyclist. Oops! is what the say and they start giggling.
Even worse are the tourists that rent a bicycle while they don't know how to cycle. I don't know about the numbers of accidents that happen but I think it can be quite dangerous.
We sometimes make jokes about earning points by hitting tourists with our bicycles. Of course where not serious on this. I'm actually pretty proud that so many tourists come to see Amsterdam! Besides that I'm completely aware of the fact that I act like a real tourist too when I'm visiting other country's. Especially crossing busy streets in Asian cities is quite complicated for me. I sometimes follow a local to be able to get across.
Okay that was it for now about my beloved Amsterdam!

Could you ask me, please? Why in the Task 7 exercise 2 in the sentence "He doesn't like doing exercise but he does like very spicy food" we need in ''does'' aftter ''but he''? Why we can not just write ''he likes spicy food''?

Hello Nolydix,

The auxiliary verb 'do' is commonly used to form questions and negatives in the present simple. It can also be used, as it is in the sentence you ask about, to place emphasis on the verb. You could say 'he likes' here and it would be correct; by saying 'he does like' you put emphasis on the fact that he likes spicy food.

Best wishes,
