Hi every one
I'm new. Nice to meet u and i hope to be hepled to learn English well.

Hello! Adam.
I have a lot of expression to ask you please help me. I tried in  dictionary but there's no answer. .exp: 1-i can fit you in
2- I've got a date
3- what did your last slave die of?

Hello Marjan,
Here are some suggestions:

  1. Enter 'fit you in' in the dictionaries box at the right, then select 'fit in' and finally 'fit sb/sth in'. That should give you the meaning.
  2. 'Date' is in the dictionary - choose the meaning with 'meeting' next to it.
  3. This is an idiom, which you should be able to work out the meaning of from the context. It's criticising someone for being too demanding by making a joke.

I hope that helps.
Best wishes,

It is my a friend who know about me in Newzealand.

I'm living in Newzealand. Few days ago, I started to learn english from the british site. It's difficult for me to hear english converstion. That's my weakness. But, I'm enjoying studying and love english. I hope I will talk to someone freely and I will hear correctly soon. After graduating a general course, I'm studying  IELTS alone and I' ll go back to languge school a month later. I want to know where I can be checked my writing. I'll always write essay.Thank you.

Hello Lina

There are a lot of websites that offer practice materials for IELTS and a few do offer writing assessment, but you would have to pay. You might also like to think about finding a local tutor if you prefer to have some face to face advice - your language school may be able to recommend someone.

Here are some sites offering useful tips, exercises and samples of writing for IELTS: The British Council's IELTS page, Road to IELTS on-line course and

They don't offer marking for students' essays, I'm afraid, but I think you will find them helpful.

I hope this helps

Thank you for fast reply~
I was recommanded the site from teacher of my languege school.
She told me If you knew more grammer, this site would helped it.
But, I'm all right becase I'm enjoying this site and will enjoy.
I have a question. If I write essay about  toaday's lesson, how will that be checked?

Hello Lina

I'm afraid we don't check students' writing on this site. Sorry!

You will need to find a tutor, join a class or sign up to an on-line course that offers writing assessment to get your essays marked. This will cost you money, so be careful and make sure you will get the help you need before you decide.

Good luck!
