Do you think British people are polite or not? Tell us about your experiences – good or bad! And how about in your country? Do you think people in your country are polite or not?

Excume, I have a question: why Ravi says: < I’m very polite aren’t I?>
and why not

Would you mind explaining me, please.

Hello Edyanglo,

I suppose you're asking about 'aren't I?'. This is called a question tag, which is a very common feature of spoken British English. We have a page and a video that talk about how to use them. As you listen to more, I think you'll see they're very common.

All the best,

It depends on what region you are. I'm from Brazil and it's a very big country, most of people in my city are very polite...but as usual we don't say "thank you" "please" all the time

in this exercise I've changed the first and the third answer. Could anyone explain me the grammatical error, please.

Hello coa0,

I'm not sure which exercise you mean - there are many tasks on the page! If you can tell us which questions you mean, and what your (incorrect) answer was, then we'll try to explain why it was incorrect.

Best wishes,

It's a pleasure learn English with you. I haven,t gone never to Britain but the people that know, say that you are very very polite

When I think about politeness I can say just one word-polite. I think it's easy to be polite if in your country people are polite or your parents told you all the the time how you be polite. In my country people are very polite like in Britain. But if are in the bus and you aren't polite-for example you don't give your seat to other older-person then older people might ask you to give them your seat. :-)) Next time I'm sure you'll be polite when you see an elderly person in the bus. So I think in my country if you aren't polite it's easy to becoming polite.

I dont know much about britsh people but brasilian people sometimes are really really rude, sadness

You should meet Turkish people. They are incredibly hospitable and kind.
