Hello everyone. So, I don't understand one things, the first tower was destroyed in 1834, and tit took 36 years to build the new one, and finished in 1859, but 1834 + 36 = 1870 then what does it mean when you say "finished in 1859"???

Hello Edyanglo,

I'm sorry, I couldn't find anywhere in the podcast where they talked about the tower being destroyed in 1834. Could you please tell me at what time in the audio they mentioned this?

Or you might find the answer to your problem in the Wikipedia.

All the best,

Hi everyone!!! I have never been in London, but i want to go :) I'm a doing a master degree in Germany then London is very close. I'm thinking of going to London in February -netxt year- and take English Class for two weeks. I need to improve my English speaking and listening skills.

Unfortunately, I haven't done the exercises really good.

I've never been to London, but I would really like to visit it.
What about London I know? Hmm... London was destroyed three times in the past.
And everything I heard or read about London is really interesting for me, and I would
use the oportunity to see as much as I can, of course if I would have oportunity to visit London at all.

When I thinking about London first thing that I remember is London Eye. I was in London twice and I visited a lot of sights, the wax museum Madame Thuso, cathedral St.Paul's, London Eye and lots of other places. But the most thing that I enjoyed was boat ride from one part of London to another. And of course the sight from the London Eye was awesome, and after that I saw one 4D movie about the London Eye. I think London is a great city with a lot of places to visit and a lot of things to do you can find all kind of activites, even if you are on holiday or you live there.

Hello everyone from Brazil.
I've never been to London, but I'd like to go there a lot! I have a British friend who lived in Londn and he's told me great stories from there. I know that London receives tourists from every part of the world and it would be great to be there and experience the mixture of all those people. In fact, living any experience from London would be awesome, even the weather! As a post-graduation student, one of the things I really like to know in London is its universities. I know some of the best universities are there. And as a rock and roll fan, I'd love to be there and feel the atmosphere of a place which has produced great rock n' roll bands.
Thanks.

Sorry i wrote Teach instead of Team.

Hello English Teach,
I have been to UK in 2007. I have found it very modern, nice, attractive and beautiful country. initially, i entered as an international student but i stayed there up to June, 2013. I was living in London the capital and multicultural city in the UK. I was so happy there. I like UK alot. I have visited London Bridge, London Eye, Tower Bridge, Bickangham Palace, London Musium and many other places. There is a big difference between my country Afghanistan and UK. for the first time underground made me surprised. I could not believe it; what is it? how it works any way it was totaly complete and furnished city. I wish i would able to once again to visit it.

Very Good
