  • How do you feel about animals? If you've been to Britain, do you think what Tess and Ravi said is true - are the British pet lover?
  • How do people view animals where you live? How common is it for people to have pets in your country? Do you have one? What kind?

Hello Ali Ibrahiem,

Another series of Elementary Podcasts will be coming shortly, so you will be able to continue with this series! In the meantime, perhaps you would enjoy 'Word on the Street' or 'Big City Small World'. These are at a slightly higher level than Elementary Podcasts, but I think you would cope fine, judging from the English in your message.

Best wishes,

Peter

Hello The LearnEnglish Team

When can we have series 4 of Elementary podcast?

Hello Chutha,

We are currently preparing Series 4 and plan to release it soon. We don't have a fixed release date yet, but the first episode will come out before the summer. Twenty episodes will be released every two weeks after that.

Best wishes,

Hi
I have a doubt

1) Did you get news from your friend?
2) Did you got news from your friend?

and

3) How did you worked that time?
4) How did you work that time?

Could you please tell which sentence is right with explanation?

Hi bharathviki,

To form questions in the past we use [did + verb], where the verb is in the base form. That means that the correct forms are:

Did you get news from your friend?

How did you work that time?

You can find more information about the past simple on this page.

Best wishes,

Peter
