I live in countryside, the most popular pets are dogs and cats, but many people have horses to ride or work.
Is a pleasure hear to Join, Adam, Tess and Ravi again, because is interesting all topics for learn english nicely, and I consider as friends and teachers despite the distance.
Congratulations to all British Council Team

I from México and i am new at this :)... the most popular pets in my country are dogs, i have a huge dog, he eats approximately 1kg of food, and continue to grow

Hi every one, thanks for the podcast. i like animals a lot but according to my point of view, every creature have their own habitat, where they feel comfortable and have freedom to move around. for instance, birds life is to fly, stay on tree, chattering with other birds..putting them in a cage, would be like sending them in prison, no matter how much care would be taken by human but it would wanted to fly as other birds. Animals could be cared and protected by taking care of their environment. due to this reason, sorry to say, i don't have any pet.
i have never been to British, but i wish to. well!! through podcast, what i get is; Britishers are pet lovers, they are kind hearten people.
The country, where i live, people love to keep cats, dogs, fish and turtles.
awaited for comment, will appreciate whether agree or not agree to my point of view.

I have had a parrot, and in my house a woman living on the first floor feeds street cats, dogs, and pigeons. Cats are sitting and waiting for being fed by this woman. These cats are very nice, fluffy, their eyes are yellow. If eveyone had been so kind as this woman, then the world would have been better.

In my part of West Africa, most people have local dogs as pets. However, some people do sell their pets (dogs) to people who eat dog meat.
Also, people keep cats at homes not really for the love of cats, but for secondary purposes, keeping off mice from their environment.
Only few people have money to care for their pets; they have more burden to look after human beings and attend to more important issues.

I am from Egypt .The most popular pets that the people have in my country are cats , birds and dogs.To have a pet depends on the culture and the standard of living .Thanks a lot

In my city people like cats, dogs and birds .but I think the most popular the pigeon

I really like almost all animals. Unfortunately I have never been in Britain, so I can’t say anything about pets there.
I live in Poland and I think that in my country having a pet is quite popular. Right now I am studying and living in dormitory, so I can’t keep a pet here. At home, where my parents live, we have one dog and one cat. What is funny, they really like each other.
PS.
It’s really nice to hear, that Elementary Podcast is back:) Special greetings for Tess and Ravi :)

As far as I am concerned, I can not imagine myself having a pet and taking care of it. I remember once my husband brought three rabbits at home,he was taking care of them every day but I couldn't bear their bad smell, it was really awful and disgusting.Hopefully I succeeded to make him getting rid of them, so he gave them to a friend of his.

ya i like this podcast
