hi my name is Afina, I want to ask something about "after you" what does it mean?
its like "you first?"
thank you :)!

have a great day everyone

Hello Afina,

Yes, that's correct – it's a short way of saying 'I'll go after you'. No one ever says the 'I'll go' part, though – it's always 'after you'. You could say 'go first', but some people might consider that a bit rude – it's more polite to say 'after you'.

Yes, I've had such situations. When there weren't stuff that I want, I just didn't buy anything and kept on my search in another places.

Simple, I change the menu.
By the way, do you sometimes see the man with a flat cap like the unhappy customer in the video in Britain?

Hello LearnEnglish team!
There is a wrong answer in task 2. At the first one, Julia said: "Shall we get a sandwich?" in 0:09 sec. But in task 2, answer is gave as "have". Greetings from Turkey !

Hello ayseerdgn,

Yes, you're absolutely right. I've just fixed the online exercise, though it may take a few hours for it to show on the web. Thanks very much for taking the time to tell us about this!

All the best,
