Hi. Tell me please why in this sentence "Do you know where Strawberry Farm is?" the verb "is" is used in the end, but not after Where?

Hi Prime,

The question you ask about is called a reported or indirect question. A reported question is essentially a question within a question - in this case, the main question "Where is Strawberry Farm?" is inside the question "Do you know... ?" In reported questions, the word order in the second embedded question is normal, in other words, we say "where Strawberry Farm is" when it is 'inside' the other question: "Do you know where Strawberry Farm is?"

By the way, Rob explains indirect speech in general in this episode of Word on the Street.
