Hello Must,

This is a question about articles and it would be helpful to other users if it were posted on a page on that topic, so they could see it when they are learning about the topic. If you visited that page you would also see other questions similar to this. In fact, I answered a very similar question to this one a day or two ago and you can see the answer I gave here.

Best wishes,

Hi,
thank you for the videos. Could you please, answer this question as long as it s not trouble for you?
She spoke to .... in the room.
A) Nobody B) Somebody C) Anybody

According to the book only one answer is correct. But there isn t the answer in it.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Must,

I'd say the best answer here is B. A could be considered possible, though normally 'nobody' is used at the beginning of the sentence, not as it is here.

By the way, if this is homework, it'd be best to ask your teacher about this, as they can explain in the context of what you're learning better than we can!

All the best,

Rivers are important for economy and transportation. We have lots of important rivers in Turkey like Kızılırmak, Seyhan, Ceyhan, Sakarya . I would like to live on a river, although many people think it would be so difficult and uncomfortable ( That's could be a little bit right) I like nature and silence that's why I would like to :)

hi teacher,
I don't understand "But there’s more to the Thames than a trip down the river. " mean?
could you explain, please?

Hello nguyen bao tin,

This means that although you can enjoy a boat ride on the river, it is important in many other ways.

All the best,

An amazing and very useful video!!! in the city where i live there are just watercourses, but in other regions we have rivers... I'd want to live near the river in summer when the weather is really hot....

Why are rivers important in a town or city?
Rivers are a mean of transportation, besides is water is important to crops, life and ecosystems.
Do you have a famous river in your country?
In Honduras we have a beautiful river called "Rio Lindo". It has an amazing scenery, important for turism and with the power of its water it generates energy as an important resource to our life.
Would you like to live on the river? Sometimes is very difficult to live near a river, due to flood, for that reason I rather live in a valley or mountain.

Because they are very important for countries' economies
Yes, we have got important rivers
Yes, because rivers is much quieter than cities and they're peaceful places
