Hello Mr. KIRK .. My level is B1 after british council and I want get 5 in IELTS, can I get it? is this level enough for that score? thanks

Hi aram,

Our level test isn't designed to be a definitive level test, but rather a tool to help our users find useful content on our site. So I would recommend checking your level using other tests as well to be sure that you have an accurate idea of your level.

This page that shows the correspondence between CEFR levels and the different IELTS bands. As you can see, it is not exact, but I hope that it helps you get an idea.

All the best,
The LearnEnglish Team

thanks Mr. KIRK, but I test in many sites my level was B1. Now I want get 5 in IELTS, do you belive I'm near that score or I can get it easily?

Hello aram,

It's really not possible for us to comment on what score a person might get in the IELTS exam. The best way to assess this is to take a practice test and see what result you get. You can find practice tests, as well as many other useful things such as tips, guides and practice materials, on our site for IELTS candidates - TakeIELTS.

I want to improve my English and know academic trends and know some international news by reading some interesting and useful or relervant to mathematic articles in magazines/book. please give me some advice. Thanks!

Hello Shiloh,

The BBC and the Guardian are two British newspapers that publish articles on a range of topics all the time and TED talks is a site where you can listen to talks on a variety of topics -- I'd encourage you to check out all of these.

I'm afraid I'm not able to recommend a place to find articles on mathematics -- I'm just not familiar with any!

All the best,
