_ yes i think when we like someone, we believe in what they say, we dont think of his bad side,it's normal.
_not all of them. Some really do work for charity by mankind, but most of them only want publicity. I dont think one person who tries to do his best to be famous has his original purpose for charity. I often hear the Misses World say that they will give the money to the poor if they win this price. I've never believed that.!
_no, on the contrary, this is one of the easiest way to attract our attentions and loves
_that's right . charities get some moneys to help the poor.
_no, i dont think so, especially during  this crisis, there are more and more unemployments in the world. People try to assure their own life.
_yes, it's a fashion to do work for charity. It's a concurrence between the celebrities.
* for me, i think it's a great idea for celebrities to do work for charity. we dont care about their purposes, either publicity or fashion, because we can't require them to give money and their hearts at the same time. In any case, they contribute to relieve the poverty, the hungriness, help the poor have a basic life...

I'm lucky to live in the capital of France-Paris- which attracts millions of tourists in the world each year. Paris possess many principal  touristique sites: The Eiffel Tower, The Champs Elysée Avenue where most of the parades are taken place yearly , the three palaces  also  converge on this avenue...
along Champs Elysée avenue, from the Arc de Triomphe to the Concorde Square, you can't be unware of the Jardin des Tuleries.( Tuleries Garden ). It is one of the first parks to open to the public and it quickly becomes a place to see and be seen.
this green space is decovered by the Queen Catherine de Médicis in 16th century.
Between 1660 and 1664 the garden was redesigned in French formal style by André Le Nôtre, the celebrated gardener of the Sun King, best known for his design of the gardens at the  Versailles Palace .
after lots of big popular events and vicissitudes, the Garden now has got its own feature:   two large basins with several fountains in the middle and the benches around, numerous sculptures and two museums, the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume and the Musée de l'Orangerie....
everyone can go there free , rich or poor, the French or the strangers. You can go there for a walk, a jog, a lecture or a sunburn. There is no much sunlight in the year in France, so many people love to go there to have a sunburn whenever possible.
the garden is decorated with plenty kinds of flowers of the country, so you'll have occasion to contemplate them in the drift of different fragrances.
i like this garden beacause it has a beautiful history, it is an association of french and italian cultures, an ideal place to relax and to escape from the pollution of the big city like Paris

hello Tess and Ravi !
i wanna  join to the programme: " i'd like to meet"
actually, i'd like to meet Mel Gibson. He's an actor, film director, film producer and screenwriter . He's american-autralian. He was born in Peekskill, New York. He moved with his parents to Autralia wen he was only 12 years old then studied at the " National Institute of Dramatic Art " in Sydney.
he was very successful in his career. He has won many awards, such as:  The Best Actor in a Leading Role in  " Mad Max series"," The Year of Living Dangerously " ; The Best Action Sequence, The Best On-screen Duo, Most Disirable Male in the film "Lethal Weapon 3 " , and so on.
some of his famous films are: The Passion of the Christ, Braveheart, Hamlet, Apocalypto .
one of my favourite film is " out of the control " , in which he played very well the role of the father whose daugter was shot before his own house........
i'd like to meet him because he's so great, so handsome as well .
if i meet him, i'll talk about his films, his family, his future programmes, and the important  thing is that he  has been accused of homophobia. i'll ask him if  this survey  has any influence in his career and what will he do to
recreate  his fans' belief .

I realized that Elementary Podcasts are  very helpful activities to improve my English, so I decided to start from Series01 Episode 01,and reach to the latest Episode step by step. I think this is the best way to familiarize with the heros of these activities, and bring development to my English. Finally I must to think you for your efforts to encourage beginners like me with such marvellous themes.

Hi!  I´m new here
I would like to improve my english.

I would like to meet Isac Assimov, he is and was one of the greatest science fiction writters among H. G. Wells and Bradbury. Unfortunately he already past away, but since he had such a vast imagination I would like to find out how he managed to write the 7 books of the Foundation Saga.
Another excelent writter is  Frank Herbert. I am reading now the first book of the Dune saga and I am already trapped and amazed.
Carolina A. Quiroga from Colombia
