Hi

I'd like to meet J.K. Rowling. She is an English writer. She wrote Harry Potter' saga, that is famous in whole world. She is a very creativity person. Later she open a web site called Pottermore where fans of H.P. can relive his adventures. I'd like to ask her what are her favourite books.

Hello Everybody,

About womens'football, personally, I don't Watch women's football because I think too women's football isn't as good as men's football. The games are slower than man's games, the womens aren't as good technically and I think the games are boring because, it's not spectacular. However, I think, it's a good think about equality between man and women.

I'm starting to get used to hear more, I lack much, but I no longer me bore much jiji even I need to differentiate words and understand them, I think this program helped me in matters of "search", "look" and read the conversations a little faster.

It's ok.

hello, I want to know "what is different between famous and popular?"
thanks
regards

famous means everybody or most people know it,
A popular with B,means B likes/loves A.

Hello Sarah,

Please look up these two words in the dictionary. There's a handy Cambridge Dictionaries Online search box on the lower right side of this page that you can use to see definitions and examples of both words in use.

Hello, i don't understand why in the joke they have used the pronoun "he" to talk about the parrot? E.g: before he died, did he say anything?
Thanks

Hello Armel12,

In English it's possible to use 'he' or 'she' as well as 'it' to describe animals, if we know the gender of the animal. Pet owners, for example, will never say 'it' about their pet but will always say 'he' or 'she'.

Best wishes,

Peter
