Hi samthui7,

Thank you for your suggestion. It's always useful to hear ideas and we'll make a note of this for when we look at changing the site next time.

Best wishes,

Last year I wend off for holidays to Vietnam. I visited a National Park quite close to Ho Chin Minh City which wasn't visited a lot by other tourist at that moment. Really nice and quiet! Seeing Gibbons impressed me a lot! Another man and I went with a guide at 5 in the morning to search for them in the jungle. Once the Gibbons started to make the specific sound to demarcate their territory, I got really excited and we went further into the jungle to follow their sound. It was absolutely amazing (haha in Gordon's words) to finally see them high up in the trees. Its was one family with a father. mother and a baby.
Such a waste that these animals are still being hunted on. People just kill the parents to take the baby's as pets. The people working in the park are trying to teach the locals about the nature and try to learn them how to earn money in other ways than hunting. I think this is a very good and positive way to make changes.

please teach me how to learn the difference among from"very, quite, absolutely, really"!
And then I don't know how to differ many prounciation about "0"

Hello Claire,

These are all modifiers which come before adjectives or adverbs.

For the differences in use, take a look at this page.

I'm not sure what you mean in the second part of your question. Can you be more specific, and provide an example?

Best wishes,

Peter

Hello The Learn English Team. I'm writing just because the two last phrases of the joke, in the section 6 exercise are marked wrong even if you put them in the right order. I've checked my answers with the solution and they are the same but mine appear wrong. Thank you for all!!

Hello Laura1240,

Thanks for telling us about this error. It's now fixed – thanks to you!

Best wishes,

Hello everyone: it has been half year at least I think since I first wrote an e-mail to the British Council, it is a long time. after that I never wrote because of my own unpleasant things. but Now I am back. just now, I finished listening the elementary podcast series 2 episode 10 (I have listened every episode from series 1 to series 2, I just finished series 2.), and listened serious 3 too, series 3 has a big change I must to say. it is a changing world (from Downton Abbey), Tess and Ravi are no longer our presenter, and I really miss them both, and of cause Gordon.
anyway thank to Tess, Ravi and Gordon, I miss you all.

Hello everybody. I want to tell you one of my memories.

I started to work in a public Corporation in a small province of Turkey in 2007. one of these day I had to go a district of this small province. on the way we were passing through a forest. when we came this forest I saw five roe deers. it was the first time I'd ever seen roe deer. moreover five roe deers. it was absolutely incredible event. I was going to this district for the first time and I saw them. a lot of people know these roe deers but very few people could see. I felt excited. they are very nice animals. immediately they ran away when they saw us. it was special for me because I've never seen them even in a zoo. they are under protection by the state. in winters given feeds them. but still I don't know how they can survive in forest despite the wild animals such as wolves.

Hello Kirk!
I'm very glad to help you. And thanks to all LearnEnglish Team for your great work.

Hello Peter!
I mean dialog about Ravi's Spanish lessons. Ravi and Tess discussed them in podcast 9. Exercise 1 in Practice materials suggests put the lines of the dialogue in the right order. But the same exercise is put in the Exercise 1 in Practice materials of podcast 10.
