3. Christmas food
Transcript item
Sally: We have the traditional British Christmas dinner with the turkey, roast potatoes, Brussels sprouts, which everyone loves, sage and onion stuffing, gravy.
Ruth: I'm vegetarian, so I don't eat turkey, but I do eat parsnips, roast potatoes, sprouts, etc. – all the trimmings.
Kerstin: ... then some nice desserts like rabanadas, I think it's French toast, sonhos and filhoses which is also like pastry, which is fried, very tasty.
Susy: In Cartagena, we have something that's called Posta negra Cartagenera, which is meat made with panela, with something that we get out of the sugar cane.
Tina: For our main part of the meal, we normally have a turkey, so roast turkey and huge one. I love a huge turkey so that you've got it for days afterwards.

But, I want to tell you about a traditional drink from Chile, called Cola de mono (the translate is Monkey tail), and this drink mix milk with schnapps, coffee, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla essence. In Moldova, are several traditional Christmas dishes, but most of them are meat dishes:
Mince pies are a Christmas favourite in the UK, eaten throughout the month of December. They're made of pastry, filled with a dried fruit mix. My family loves them!
