I have never made phone calls in English. Because my English listening and speaking is so bad. So, I am not enough to be confident to communicate by English language.

leaving message in case you didn't get direct answer from person or whatever you want it isn't my preferred(favorite) way in dallying with unanswered calls for that I just hang up that call and try again later.

I don`t do calls in English too often. I prefer to email or text. Because it is easier to explain, sometimes the people don`t understand my accent. So if I write is better for understanding and to remember later.

Hi esi,

After 'in case' we don't use a future form even though the action or event happens in the future. For example;

Correct: I'll take an umbrella in case it rains.

Incorrect: I'll take an umbrella in case it will rain.

Dear team. From the audio above: Peter: It's 0-7-4-6-0 double 9-0-1 double 8. He spells 'it's ou seven four.....' Why not??? 'it's zero seven four six.....' As we know: O (ou) is character 0 (zero) is number. Thank you for explanation and answer.
Hi fahri, Yes, you could say the number as 'zero seven four ...'. But it's very common to say 'oh' instead of 'zero' in everyday use (e.g. phone numbers, house or flat numbers, or room numbers). In maths or science, zero is usually used (e.g. 0.7 = 'zero point seven'). Best wishes, Jonathan The LearnEnglish Team

Actually, I've never done it before. I had some job interviews in English. Successful by the way )) I've been on a bunch of speaking classes with some native speakers. But I've never ever called somebody to talk in English. I think it would be tough if the truth be known. I don't feel confident with my speaking and listening skills yet. That's why I'm here to improve my skills and become more fluent in your language. I hope I do it right and my goal is near ))

In this case, I never call to my friends in English, because they don't understand English. I have a brother who is in India, and sometimes I chat with him in English. I should say that it is the main problem of mine that I don't have an English student partner. If there were somebody, I would prefer to call him/her and speak English. Regards, Tayyebi
