Ana: Hi! I'm Ana. Welcome to What to Say!
Do you know what to say when you agree and disagree? Listen out for useful language for agreeing and disagreeing. Then, we'll practise saying the new phrases – after this.
Paul: So?
Emir: I'm not convinced by that idea.
Paul: Why?
Emir: Well, this design is just too simple.
Paul: It's not simple, it's minimal. Plus, it's what the client asked for.
Emir: I'm not so sure. Look … Look at these designs here. I think this is the style that the client wants.
Paul: Hmmm … I think I disagree. They said they wanted it clean and minimal.
Emir: These designs are clean and minimal.
Paul: Look, don't get me wrong, Emir. I like them, but I don't think they fit the brief. For example, here, there's just a bit too much going on.
Emir: OK, I see what you mean, but without all the colour, it would look a bit … empty.
Paul: True. OK, how about taking that and that away? So it still looks interesting, but less busy.
Emir: OK … maybe you've got a point there. Actually, that has given me an idea.

Emir: So we remove the blue. I think that creates a nice balance.
Paul: Yeah, yeah. I think you're right. Changing the circles helped too.
Emir: I agree. So we're happy with this now?
Paul: Yes, definitely.
Emir: So it looks like we can agree!
Paul: Occasionally.
Ana: Hello again! I'm pleased that Paul and Emir agreed with each other in the end. So, did you notice the useful phrases used for agreeing and disagreeing? Listen to me and then repeat.

one week ago, was my last time i disagree with my friend about the discussion we made.
The last time I have disagreed with my sister it was about the ceiling fan, I was not convinced by the whole idea of having a ceiling fan, she disagreed with me sayin that it is a necessity in such a hot summer, I said to her: don't get me wrong but I would rather have an AC instead of that silly ceiling fan, she continued disagreeing with me saying that ceiling fans are more electricity efficient than ACs, plus ACs are bad for the environment. In the end, I realized that she had a point , and I was fully convinced by her idea, finally we have agreed to get a ceiling fan instead of an AC , just for the sake of the environment!
Well, I disagreed with my family's dinner schedule a few days ago. they want to go steak house but I wanted to go sushi restaurant. when I learned this lesson, I will use this phrase: Don't get me wrong, I like Steak, but I don't think we gain weight.
To be honesty, I don't remember what was the last time I disagreed with someone. But in my workplace, I usually disagreed with my superiors and colleges. Because they come from different places. We are different ages. So we have conflicts between each other because of the different ideas. That's usual.

My OH want to play number 3 position and i think i disagree that. i look him play number 4 position so good and finally i convinced him.

I exactly don´t remember when I disagree with someone. But very often I disagree with my colleague when we talk about have to solve problems in the work.
I'm not sure when but it was recently when I discussed about the insurance policy with my manager. He disagreed with me about the benefits and asked to promote them because the employee deserve better insurance than the previous one.
