Dear Yuki,  

We are presenting to some new clients next Monday 10 December and they are interested in our V1698 face creams.

I understand from Kate that the prices have changed recently. She mentioned that you have the new price list. Do you think you could email it to me?

I would be grateful if we could have it by close of business on Thursday 6 December. That would give us time to prepare for our presentation.

Tips

  1. Some people prefer you to use their first names, and others prefer you to use their title (e.g. Ms/Mr) + their surnames. Find out what is normal in your company when writing emails.
  2. Explain the reason for the request.
  3. Give a deadline when possible.
  4. Give dates clearly.
  5. Make your request polite by starting it with Do you think you could … ? or I would be grateful if you/we/I could … .
  6. If you don't know the person you are writing to well, you can finish by writing Best regards just before you sign your name.

i never write an email to my colleague we have telegram group to sent documents sounds and videos our group call batch group and we also have discussion if i want any lecture document i ask in our batch group i prefer phone than email because it is quick and i think my colleague too i use email in my business and study to send request to collages and training centers

I usually write emails to my colleagues, but in Vietnamese, not in English. I wrote to notify about division's news, meetings, discuss relevant issues with my tasks, ask a favor, or even make a date to go shopping. But in some emergency cases, I always make a phone call.

I write emails all the time. Actually, most of my colleagues live in other towns so we can't meet each other at the meetings or in the office canteen. I can't come to their room to show any documents or to have a face-to-face conversation. So, we have to use phones or emails. I send them important information to work, also attach files. And, of course, I receive the same from them every day: reports, files, documents, interesting thoughts or suggestions. I just can't imagine our work without emails mow. We will all become helpless if emails somehow disappear.

Yes! I often write emails to my colleagues. I write to my colleagues when I make an appointment with them, ask simple questions, or when I am free. I often write emails to communicate with someone, especially in my spare time. One of the reasons why I write emails instead of calling is that I am not used to calling. Another reason is that it costs money to make a call. In addition, I often write emails because it is not convenient for the other party and I can contact each other during the free time. However, it is much faster to make a call than to write an email, so I think it is better to make a call than to write an email when I am in a hurry or when I have time to call the other party. Recently, I often write not only to my colleagues but also to professors at the university. The reason is that I used to meet in person to solve problems until now, but nowadays I have become an online class, and I have to email if I do not understand or something goes wrong, because it is. I think email is very convenient.

No, I don’t. Up until now, I have been using email, but I no longer use it for my friends and colleagues. Most of the contents sent through email are from email magazines and universities. And when I send it myself, I use it when I want to send an official document, such as applying for a part-time job. In some cases, smartphones have become popular and SNS are diversified, so I use LINE, Instagram and Twitter to send messages. LINE and Instagram can not only send a text message to the other person, but they can also make a phone call. It's not only voice-only calls, but also video calls by reflecting each other's faces. Yes. I send a lot of emails to my colleagues. There are several reasons. The first reason is that, unlike telephone calls, you can communicate with your partner anywhere. For example, if you are on the train or when the other party cannot answer the call, you can communicate with the other party by email. The second reason is that the content that you want to convey as an email remains. Unlike the telephone, it remains as a document in place, so you can look back as many times as you want without having to ask back. The third reason is that you can attach materials etc. to the email. The fourth reason is that the number of apps with mail functions is increasing. Many useful apps such as LINE and Instagram are increasing, and you can quickly see if you have created a group within the company and transmitted information all at once or read it. Also, by using the stamp function, pictograms, emoticons, etc., it is possible to communicate without giving a heavy impression to the other party. Based on the above points, I have decided that email communication is more effective than telephone communication, and I use email a lot.
