Hey, I don't think I can make it tomorrow. I'm feeling really ill

Oh no, poor you!

Have you been to the doctor?

No, I think it's just a cold

Well, get well soon

Shout if you need anything!

Thx, I will

Feeling any better?

A bit thanks but staying in bed today I think!

I can pop round on my way home if you need anything?

Actually, if you don't mind, pls can you get me some green tea?

No problem!

See you about 6 then

Thx so much!!

Get plenty of rest! Hope you feel better soon!

Tips

  1. You don't have to write complete sentences in text messages.
  2. You can use short forms, e.g. thx (thanks) and pls (please).
  3. To cancel a plan, say I don't think I can make it. Add the date (e.g. I don't think I can make it tomorrow) and/or to + the activity (e.g. I don't think I can make it to the party tomorrow).
  4. To show sympathy, say Poor you and Hope you feel better soon.
  5. Exclamation marks (!) sound positive and they are used a lot in text messages. Two exclamation marks (!!) shows you really, really mean it!

I cancelled the hotel booking room when my sister fell down last month. She's broken her bone. So I texted to the agent and we didn't have our holiday then.

Nice thing you asked! Just last week I was suppossed to attend a language class but I couldn't make it, I had a terrible cold and awful migraine, To make matter worse my pre schooler was at home all day since there was no school, had to look after her while I was sick. It was such a shame, I missed the class. Fortunately I got better just 2days after and was able to catch up with the missed lessons.

I don't think I can make it to class tomorrow.

*Oh! Poor you! Have you been to the doctor?

Nope, I think Its just a seasonal flu, I have runny stuffy nose and scratchy throat.

*Oooh! sorry to hear that! Pop me a mssg if you need anything!!

Actually, If you don't mind, could you get me an over the counter flu medicine.

* No problem, I'll pick up some meds and drop it off at your house on my way home. See you around 5 then

Thanks, You're a life saver!

* Get plenty of rest! Hope you feel better soon.

I cancelled the trip plan to the beach last 2 month ago. Actually one of my friends made this plan for saying good bye and get relaxing and refreshing for me. I love staying beach a lot so she arranged for us but I can't emphasis and I think I wasn't happy if I didn't get a new job first. That's why I said my friend to cancel our trip.
